Man Shall Not Live By Bread Alone (Matthew 4:4)

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4 (KJV)

We do not live by bread alone because there is more to us than our physical bodies. Just as our body requires physical food, so too our recreated spirit requires spiritual food in order for us to reach our full potential in Christ. We are being fed spiritually anytime we receive the Word of God, when we meditate on it and take it into our hearts. The more that our spirit is fed, the stronger our spirit becomes. And when our spirit is strong, our ability to be victorious over the flesh increases.

Video Sermon: “Agree with God and Shine: Your Purpose & Mission in Christ”

The-Churchs-Call-to-Strong-and-Serious-Christian-LivingIf you have been following this website, you may have been wondering, what exactly is Graceway. Are we a church? An online ministry? Or something else all together?

And the answer is this: the vision behind Graceway is for us to become a church!

I do not know the exact time frame for this, yet God has most clearly put it on my heart that this is what His vision is for this ministry, and furthermore He is now leading me to begin to share this, to speak life into the vision.

Currently, we are in very early stages, with “Graceway Fellowship Gatherings” about to start in Los Angeles this summer. And in addition to that, you can expect regular video sermons such as this one today. Also, look out for downloadable audio versions of our messages to be made available shortly.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out this website, and I pray—whoever you are, and wherever you may find yourself—that this video message will inspire you, encourage you, challenge you, and invite you to grow in your walk with the Lord. It is my heart for us to realize that God is inviting us all to continuously go deeper in our walk and in our fellowship with Him, yet to never forget that, no matter how deep we go, it is always about serving the people He is leading into our paths every single day. It is about understanding that we, as the Church, are all being called to shine the light of Christ in this world that is in such need of healing and salvation.

So with that said, may you shine your light for Jesus, and may you catch a revelation that He is calling you to fulfill both your purpose and your mission in Him.

Much love and many blessings,

Alex

Man Shall Not Live By Bread Alone (Matthew 4:4)

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4 (KJV)

We do not live by bread alone because we are not only physical beings. Just as our physical body requires physical food, so too our born again spirit—the innermost part of who we are—requires spiritual food in order for us to reach our full potential in Christ. We are being spiritually fed anytime we receive the Word of God; anytime we consider it, meditate on it, and take it into our hearts. The more that our spirit is fed, the stronger our inner person becomes. And when our spirit is strong, our ability to be victorious over the flesh increases.

Seeking The Will Of God With Joy (Psalm 40:16)

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Psalm 40:16 (KJV)

Seeking the will of God for our life is not a burdensome task, nor is it something that will put us in a place of sorrow. Any such notion comes from our old fleshly nature which we must put off continually. When we live in the spirit, we come to discover that the greatest joy and and the greatest fulfillment lie in seeking Jesus, delighting in Him, and desiring daily to carry out His plan and purpose for our lives. So let us magnify the Lord with joy in our hearts! He is our sufficiency, and He will always add unto us everything we need to live victoriously.
