Speaking Words Of Life (1 Peter 3:10-11)

For he who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.

1 Peter 3:10-11 (NKJV)

Our words play such a crucial role when it comes to seeking peace in our daily life. The Bible tells us that if we want to love life and see good days, we cannot speak words of evil or deceit. Our words reflect what is in our heart, and so as we deliberately fill our hearts with God’s Word, as we allow the love of Jesus to saturate us, we will find our words naturally coming into alignment with life and peace. Today, let us be mindful of this tremendous power that lies in our tongue, and let us purpose in our hearts to only speak words of life.
