The Paradox Of Grace (2 Corinthians 12:9)

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakeness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

The paradox of grace is such that it becomes our strength and empowerment to the degree that we get comfortable with our own weakenesses. In other words, grace becomes power when we realize that we in our own strength are never asked to carry the burdens of life, but that we are to cast these upon the Lord. To the degree that we do this, we open ourselves to His power, to His might, to His ability that flows through us. Now we can say with the Apostle Paul that we gladly boast in our weakness, so that the supernatural power of Christ may flow through us.
